Cookies and other storage
Cookies accompany requests; local storage, session storage and caches serve the functions below. Linking external media avoids storing its file on Orbynia but may still disclose connection data to its host when loaded.
Discord sign-in
__Host-orbynia-discord-state protects the sign-in callback for up to ten minutes. __Host-orbynia-discord-session identifies the session for up to thirty days or until invalidated. These first-party cookies use HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax and contain no Discord password. They are needed for requested sign-in.
Administrator session
__Host-orbynia-admin protects administrator access for up to thirty days or until sign-out, revocation or password change. It uses HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax. This corrects the outdated eight-hour description.
Site presence
orbynia-presence holds a random browser ID for thirty minutes, renewed by presence signals. It supports an administrator-only recent-connection counter, separate from Steam player counts. The presence table stores the ID and last activity, not IP addresses. Entries inactive for over ninety seconds are removed during a later signal. Hosting technical logs are separate.
Preferences, drafts and cache
Browsers may keep language, theme, settings, build drafts, progression and routes. Local storage persists until replaced or deleted; session storage belongs to the tab session. Caches store site or OCR resources to reduce downloads. Dismissing the Discord invitation is remembered for seven days after Later and thirty days after opening the link. Not all local data expires automatically.
External services and tracking
Discord avatars, external maps, jsDelivr/Project Naptha OCR resources and external media may connect to their providers. Discord, Twitch, YouTube and Steam links open services governed by their policies. Current application code configures no advertising or third-party marketing tracker. External services may nevertheless process data. This page does not collect consent: non-exempt trackers require separate prior agreement; continued browsing is not agreement.
Viewing and deleting storage
Browser settings let you inspect, block or clear orbynia.fr cookies, storage and caches. This may sign you out and erase drafts: save or export important data first. Clearing local data does not erase server records or Discord messages. See the privacy policy and contact the publisher for those requests.
